Southeastern Germany, not far from Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel’s birthplace, and even closer to the art school she attended, is in the heart of the German Alps.

Perhaps Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel created the original artwork for this figure as a salute to Germany's mountaineers. Trail Blazer appears to be climbing an Alpine peak. His image shows our favorite German flower, the Edelweiss, the subject of that favorite song from The "Sound of Music."
